Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed was taken to a hospital after he started feeling unwell in the tournament area.

SK Gaming progressed to the second group stage from first place and will play eSTRO, MoB and Roccat. But will they?

SpawN started feeling unwell after the group stage matches. He felt weak and had difficulty breathing. Medical assistance was called and he was taken to the hospital. His team mates said that the player did not have a proper meal today and only ate sweets and cookies.

Right now it is unknown whether or not SpawN will continue playing in the ESWC. With him in poor condition SK Gaming's chances are decreasing considerably.

Teams should always send 6 players in my humble opinion, as since this is (again) a true example why you should always have reserve players. They also do that in other sports as since humans can get ingured. Gamers are (yes, really!!) humans aswell!. Perhaps it's time to threat them like that.

Anyway, let's hope for a fast recovery for mr mohamed.

Having to quit because your 5th is sick or injured and you do not have a 6th costs hell-a-lot more.... It's not the first time that this happend.

Besides teams like SK should have absolutely _no problem_ in doing that...

sk may not have problems, but not all teams have the financial support SK does, of course not every team feels they need to send 6 either. But ESWC does give free tickets to teams that qualify do they not? if they had to finance a 6th for every team that would cut into ESWC pretty hard.

Almost every professional athlete has someone looking after their diet, why is it so hard to believe that the same procedures can't be applied to gaming? I mean, if I were Alex or any top gaming manager, I'd make sure all my players followed a strict diet and 'plan' while at events, it's just good sense, especially when there's so much money spent on the players as it's.

:), gamers need brain sugar, normal sugars are very very bad. They make you go numb and make you feel empty after the enegergy peak. I'd love to compose a gamer-diet but still gotta have some years to study before being able to do so. Food is important, and athletes/gamers need special ppl watching after them telling what food & what excercices to eat/do. Depending on low/high sens gamers you could ad in either whrist excercices or shoulder excercices. This is actually interesting material but by the time I have my degree I'm pretty sure someone will have done the studies before me :D.
