The first benchmark was set by n1lyn with a laptime of 59.77 in his first attempt, which was the new world record. Followed by n!Jay who managed to beat this time with an amazing laptime of 59.72 seconds. 3 o'clock in the afternoon so one hour left for n1lyn to beat the 59.72 and a que of people, it must have felt like billions in n1lyn's situation, waiting for their chance to beat these superb times, granted him one more try.
Still n1lyn had a very fast splittime, even better than Jay, who was watching and getting nervous seeing n1lyn going berserk on the brakes in the next corner. The driven circuit contained three corners. Two were already nearly perfect for n1lyn, and more and more people were gathering around his racing throne. One corner to go -n1lyn good on the brakes and then- the back swifled out touched the inside wall slightly slowing him down just a few km/h that were missing on the whole straight to the finish line: 59.88s was unfortunately not enough to beat Jay's World Record. The Scirocco goes to Jay for being five hundredth of a second faster than n1lyn. which isn't more than half a car length on the finish line. But the chance for revenge is already given in october at the V-WTCC finals in Monza where a Chevrolet HHR can be won.
Congratulations to Marco 'Jay' Schade from n!faculty for an amazing performance and such a grand car!

five hundredth of a second .... that's nearly ... nothing :/
