The group stage and semi-finals finally concluded, and it's up to two Asian teams to fight for the coveted DotA trophy. While the favorites of SK.DotA got surprisingly eliminated during the group stage, the two Asian teams, Zenith and Kingsurf, managed to sneak their way to the finals.
While the relatively unknown team, Zenith, managed to defeat top teams such as MeetYourMakers, Pandemic and The Elder Gods, Kingsurf had to taste defeat against SK.DotA.
Due to a lack of practice against Asian teams, the Europeans were surprised by the "unorthodox" picking strategies -- while the Asians managed to adapt their playstyle to European strategies.
It's hard to predict the outcome of the grand final, but Zenith might have a slight advantage due to previously defeating Kingsurf in the Asian Dota Championship with 2-0.
The best of three game is scheduled to start at 8 PM CET.
MeetYourMakers and Evil Geniuses will fight for the third place.
Both games will be live on WTV.
Here is what SK.Loda thinks about the Asians, their playstyle, the evolution of DotA and the future of SK.DotA:

Just go on m8 and you will make it !
And yes i feel an unexpressed sadness that Bodgan won't be able to say "I Play Dota." That interview was Epic.
Better luck next time Loda, we know you guys can do it just a little of practice and adjustments..
its not about good or bad connection - its about picking well and playing straight for a win, not like their pdl games were done.
just commenting that lag prejudices sometimes on online events =)
Well, I don't agree 100% with dopeshow because, as far as I know, DotA is a game which "1 second" can make a difference. Every second counts, especially in a big hero battle. Lag plays major part of the game. It's important, but not the most important thing.
It's true that hero picks and teamplay are more crucial than lag, but still you can't play your A game if you really have bad ping.
