The renowned China E-sports Games (CEG) series will be back on track with a Beijing Tour later this month, after ceasing to host a single event so far this year due to economic crises.

The CEG 2008 Beijing Tour, which opens between November 22nd-24th at the Shijingshan Stadium in Beijing, China, will feature seven tournaments including WC3, Counter-Strike 1.6 and FIFA. Since the league is based on Chinese clubs rather than individual players, those who signed up for this tour but switched teams afterwards may not be able to participate after all.

For example, FoV and BerA, who previously played for Beijing E-sports Team, TH000 and Sai, who played for wNv Teamwork, as well as ToD and SaSe, who signed up as Mousesports players. CEG usually unveil the participant list and group draw a couple of days prior to the opening of the event so stay tuned here for more updates.

However, the 2008 year doesn’t seem to be a welcomed year for the CEG. They first had to postpone their tours several times due to passionate preparation for Summer Olympic Games. Later on they lost their head sponsor SK Telecom and could do nothing but cancel the Shanghai Tour and postpone the whole series indefinitely. Though they will be hosting the Beijing Tour thanks to a temporary head sponsor, the future remains gloomy.
