The show case event featuring four top Warcraft 3 players has now come to an end, with the Dutchman Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen taking first place.

A power packed tournament pitting, arguably, the best players of the game came to a close today with the World Cyber Games Champion, Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen taking down the SK player,June 'Lyn' Park, in a best-of-three series. As a special treat, Kevin 'RotterdaM' van der Kooi had shout casted the event from the ESL headquarters.

The finals started out on Echo Isles where both players adopted the same strategy in quick teching and getting the standard army combination of Grunts, Raiders and Spirit Walkers led by the Blademaster and the Shadow Hunter. A crucial creep jack at Grubby's natural expansion, however, turned the tides for Lyn as he quickly took down a couple of Grunts that widened the gap in food counts. After that, the final fight at Grubby's base was pretty much in Lyn's favour and he took the game 1-0.

The second game was fought on Secret Valley. Both players again opted for the Blademaster and Shadow Hunter as their heroes while adding in the usual Raider, Walker, Kodo and Grunt army. Creeping their respective areas, Grubby seemed to have an edge with better items. It was the face off in the center with Lyn, having a slightly higher food count than Grubby, that seemed to turn the tides of the game with very impressive micro from Grubby, pulling off some crucial saves on his units. He then proceeded to creep aggressively and level up his heroes faster than Lyn. The final battle was at an advantageous position for Grubby and he went on to tie the series 1-1.

The finals were on Lost Temple. While the game started out with Grubby doing some very shaky creeping at his natural expansion, Lyn started by creeping the center of the map. However, there seemed to be a psychological advantage on the side of the Dutchman, probably perhaps he needed just one win to seal the series. Grubby crept the map faster, harassed better and also set up more expansions than Lyn to have an extra edge throughout the game. It came down to the hero levels of which Lyn's level 3 Shadow hunter turned out to be no match for Grubby's level 5 Shadow hunter. The series ended 2-1 for Grubby.

The final standings for the tournament are:

1st: Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen- $5,000
2nd: June 'Lyn' Park- $2,500
3rd: Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li- $1,500
4th: Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang- $1,000
