Dreamhack will be held on DotA v6.57b

Dreamhack Winter '08 is one of the first big offline LAN events which implements the latest piece of art from Icefrog, DotA Allstars v6.57b.

The event administration took it's time to announce the decision on which map the tournament will use. This might affect some teams who thought Dreamhack would stick to v6.52 or trained on both while others completely focused on v6.57b.

However there is still some time left since Dreamhack will begin on Thursday the 27th of November. So stay turned for Europe's biggest DotA tournament to begin.

Additionally, here are some statements from the players who will participate at Dreamhack from myMYM:

"I don't really care if its .56 or .57b!"


Mouz.LevenT:
"I think it's a really good move, 57b will provide a lot of various and interesting lineups, also this will be the most bug clean version dota ever had. Personally I'm quite relieved to see 57b at dreamhack since our team practiced a lot with this version. WATCH OUT FOR THE MICE!"


Gvision.Mighty:
"I personally dislike the usage of .57b, the version in itself is actually more lame to be honest. I think it was a bad decision just trying to please the masses, besides from the late call. This will probably be negative for Gvision as we are focused rather on .52... :("


Met.MiseRy-:
"I like the new heroes and the new version in general. The fact that nearly all heroes are pickable in this version makes it even more funny to play and to watch. I'm sure some new and exciting strats will come up @ DH and it will be nice to play this version lan for the first time.. The problem is that maybe 57b isn't tested enough, so there might be some bugs in the version or small issues etc.."
