After heavy delays the participants of the 2008 International E-Sports Festival have been announced.

In a pretty much one-sided meeting of SK Gaming versus the Hungarian team of DiamondZ two weeks ago, SK managed to come out on top with a superior 19-1 final result and took one of the two spots in the final of the third ESL Major Series Season.

Shortly after the Dreamhack Winter 2008, the G7 have updated their rankings with basically only one change in the standings. SK Gaming are now placed first with 579 points while fnatic are down to the third rank with 523 points.
SK Gaming gained a total of 100.38 points compared to the last ranking now switching place with fnatic, who were ranked first. Fnatic only lost 12.01 points but with SK and mTw placing better than them at the Dreamhack, they have now switched place after being first for quite some time.
Corin Cole, of Cadred.org, has published an extremely interesting article regarding the CGS which exposes some hard numbers obtained from an inside source at the CGS.

Seong Deok "SoJu" Lee defeated his teammate Seo Wook "ReiGn" Kang to progress to the grand final of the NiceGameTV Warcraft League Season II.
The last encounter between the pair was in the China vs Korea Season III, where they met in the group stage and Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang came out on top with a 2-1 victory.
The two SK teammates Seo Woo "ReiGn" Kang and Seong Deok "SoJu" Lee will face each other this morning at 11am CET in the NWL semi-final.
As the tournament is single elimination, the loser of this game will be out, while the winner will face the winner of the June 'Lyn' Park/Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee match, the other semi finals match.
Today the SK Counter-Strike and DotA teams will leave for Johannesburg, South Africa to participate in promotion activities and show matches during the African Continental Computer Championships.
